  • Right now, all donations go toward securing a 501 (C) (3) status, estimated cost of $1k. All subsequent funds will go towards a physical location for Maslow’s Meals, covering expenses like leasing, utilities, and real estate fees. Based on current estimates, operating for one year will cost between $125,000 and $250,000, depending on real estate prices and the number of people we serve.

  • If we don’t reach our fundraising goals, every donation will be redirected to Crisis Services of North Alabama, supporting our local domestic violence shelter and providing critical assistance to those in need.

  • We plan to file as a charitable organization as soon as possible, with estimated legal and filing costs of $1,000. This official status will make future donations tax-deductible and ensure full transparency by making all IRS information about Maslow’s Meals publicly available.

  • Maslow’s Meals is entirely volunteer-run, with no staff receiving a salary or compensation for their time or skills. This commitment ensures that every donation goes directly toward making the greatest possible impact in our community.
